The CEC form requires your full name, email, comment title, at least one subject, and agreement to its certification. Paste the letter as comment text or attach the searchable PDF.

Suggested CEC subjects

The CEC accepts searchable PDF, DOC, and DOCX attachments up to 10 MB. Comment text is not required when a document is attached.

Public-record notice: The CEC states that comments, attachments, and associated contact information may become publicly viewable and searchable online. Review your letter before submitting and omit personal details you do not want in the letter itself.

Email the letter to Kern County Planning, all five County Supervisors, and Ridgecrest City Council. The letter is copied first in case your email app trims a long message.

This is additional outreach, not a CEC filing. Submit through the official CEC form above even if you also send this email. Emails to public officials may themselves be public records.

Write “Docket 26-SPPE-01” on the letter. The CEC says documents submitted after 5:00 p.m. Pacific time are docketed the next business day, and some filing deadlines may be earlier. For e-comment questions, the CEC lists Docket@energy.ca.gov and 916-654-5076.
